HEL1X, also known by the alias AO, is a DJ and emerging producer based in Los Angeles, focused on breakbeats, techfunk, techno, and bass-driven electronic music. A longtime contributor to the underground scene, she began her journey in 2006, playing house parties, warehouse shows, and desert gatherings within the Burning Man community.

Currently a resident DJ with Fraktured LA, a breakbeat-focused collective with roots in Seattle, HEL1X is known for high-energy sets that balance precision with raw intensity. Her selections draw from the full spectrum of rhythmic electronic music, always grounded in the pulse of breakbeats.

While DJing remains at the core of her practice, she’s actively expanding into music production, with a growing interest in game audio and real-time sound design for virtual reality and interactive media.

Her creative world is informed by a deep love of sci-fi, space, and immersive environments—whether physical or digital. You can catch HEL1X live on stream or at underground events across Southern California, especially out in the desert where she feels most at home.
